Using Semen “Amps”: Much of the semen from the 1950’s to 1980’s was preserved in ampules rather than in straws. The volume of semen in each ampule was typically 2-4x the amount currently in straws, so there’s more potential for production of multiple embryos. Shorthorn Select Genetics will have a special offering of Heritage Shorthorn Embryos and Semen online from January 15th 2025 to February 15th 2025.
